Xinhua News Agency praised: Night Rainbow ArtLab platform debuts two works at the 'Sydney Festival of Lights,' showcasing the brilliance of Chinese art!

The 2025 Vivid Sydney Festival is currently in full swing. Under the leadership of Shao Jiaxin, the curator of the ArtLab platform under Night Rainbow, two stunning works, 'Fly To The Moon' and 'Telephone,' have made their debut. Not only does this mark the first time in the 15-year history of the Sydney Festival of Lights that a Chinese artist has presented two works, but it also conveys Chinese romanticism and technological confidence through the artworks, earning special coverage from Xinhua News Agency. This highlights the innovative power of contemporary Chinese artists to the world.

The work 'Fly To The Moon' draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese myth 'Chang'e Flying to the Moon,' reinterpreted with modern technological language. Shao Jiaxin expressed her hope that through this piece, she would not only present the visual wonders of the moon but also tell a Chinese story of lunar exploration. She aims to create a transcendent dialogue between the ancient dream of flying to the heavens and China's modern achievements in lunar exploration.
Another work, 'Telephone,' draws inspiration from the tender conversations between mother and child. Shao Jiashen aims to evoke cross-generational emotional resonance by juxtaposing the nostalgic medium of old-fashioned telephones with modern lighting technology, thereby assuming the responsibility of cultural heritage transmission. She also hopes that people from around the world can express their emotions through 'Telephone' and leave a warm imprint at the Sydney Festival of Lights.

The festival will run until June 14th, with 75% of installations available for free access. We warmly invite everyone to visit in person, to touch the 'romantic footprints' of China's lunar exploration at 'Fly To The Moon,' and to listen to the 'dialogue of light and shadow' across eras beside 'Telephone,' experiencing the unique charm of the fusion of Chinese art and technology.
