2020 Chengdu Wanda Plaza Installation

At the end of 2020, Night Rainbow collaborated with several renowned contemporary Chinese artists to create an urban public art space centered around "creative light art installations" for Chengdu MixC Phase 2, exploring and uncovering the profound cultural and artistic charm of this international metropolis.  
This is an unmissable [New Media Art Light Festival]—"Realm of Chasing Light"—where you can experience cutting-edge new media light installations from fresh perspectives and through immersive methods.  
01 「W Fountain」"A Living Organism on the City's Skin"  
The work "W Fountain" by renowned contemporary Chinese artist Feng Feng is a letter-shaped light installation that intermittently sprays water into the air.  
Under the shimmering starlight, it periodically shoots out crystal-clear water columns, engaging with the city like a living organism parasitizing its skin.  
When the most familiar commercial symbols become blurred  and are given new definitions,  can we still see their connection to the city?  
02 「Digital Reflection·Chengdu」"Digitized, Visualized Impressions of Chengdu"  
The "Wu Yi" new media art team experimentally transformed Chengdu's climate change and culinary culture data into dynamic visualizations through innovative light installations, successfully creating a digitized, contemporary impression of Chengdu for audiences.  
The ever-changing light and shadow displays on the cubes gradually reveal Chengdu's impressions in people's minds—dreamlike, avant-garde, and uniquely Chengdu.  
03 「X-CHANNEL」"Retro Futurism"  
Have you ever seen sound or touched light? This is the "Audiovisual Light Installation" by acclaimed young artist Wang Tianxin. It is a retro-futuristic utopia, integrating technology, art, sound, and new media techniques.  
It can transform in response to music and the environment, shaping spaces with light. It not only depicts contemporary architectural landscapes but also pays homage to Suprematism.  
04 「Where is Your Hero?」"Dark Matter in a Singularity World"  
Renowned sculpture artist Li Chao combines sculpture with light and imagery to tell stories about time, seasons, and fleeting moments of life. Various values, labels, and definitions are like magic in a magician's hands or dark matter in a singularity world.  
Between reality and illusion, we search for each other through a thin veil, understanding yet not fully comprehending. Through light and imagery, the inner authenticity and determination of people are vividly revealed, inspiring boundless imagination.  
05 「Echo」"Born Facing the Sea, Destined to Surge"  
Have you ever seen the tides under moonlight? The sea breeze gently brushes, and rhythmic waves crash like the ocean's call, gathering on the shore. Let memories echo, and let everything related to the sea gradually emerge—romance, youth, and the passage of time.  
06 「Breath」"Exploring the Genetic Information of Life"  
Every life is light, connecting people. Through technology tracing life, we discover cells, then DNA. Magnifying DNA, we see the origin of life—the beginning of breath.  
Through "Breath," experience the wonders of biology and touch upon the cellular connections between people. Using light installations, embark on a more visual and tangible exploration of life's origins.
07 「Awakening」"With Sound, All Things Come to Life"  
The fusion of sprites and music—isn't that a scene from fairy tales? Little sprites climb and play on the French horn in various poses, bringing liveliness and whimsy. When the horn sounds, all things gradually grow, and beautiful notes gather people together, revealing that art can also be happiness, joy, and dreams, bringing us closer to one another.  
08 「Flow」"Go with the Flow, Swim Against the Tide"  
"Flow" in the human world—we go with the flow yet swim against the tide, seeking a resting place for the soul. The high mountains and flowing waters seek not only kindred spirits but also the light of all things growing.  
09 「SONG」"The Listener of Time and Years"  
As the breeze rises, what it sings among its branches is tied to the growth of all things and connected to the passage of time. The pine is elegance, serenity, and the bearer of strength. Encountering the pine, witnessing its growth through the moments of time and years—unhurried, unassuming—immersed in beauty that arises naturally.  
10 「See」"Under the Shimmering Starlight, See the Light"  
Everything starts from 0 to 1, from nothing to something. The growth of all things begins here. Absorb the fervor of light, feel its warmth, and walk toward the light.  
11 「Light Atmosphere·Galaxy Surround」"Under the Shimmering Starlight, See the Galaxy"  
The light atmosphere, with star lights encircling walls, curtains, and trees, is adorned with slowly flickering spark balls. Under the starlight, people dance together and move forward. Set off toward the cosmos, encounter the galaxy, with twinkling starlight surrounding you—here, become the center of the universe, plucking stars and feeling the vastness.
