                                                                                                               “Melody of the Sea”

Night Rainbow, in collaboration with Trip.com, created an immersive ocean-themed nighttime experience for the Guangzhou Ocean World, deeply integrating technology, art, and ecology. This initiative pioneered a new "day + night" tourism operation model. With four major themed lighting zones and 18 sets of customized lighting installations, the project significantly boosted the aquarium’s daily footfall and secondary spending, redefining the trend of nighttime cultural tourism.

This innovative endeavor not only revitalized the nighttime economy of the cultural tourism sector but also established a benchmark model for urban artistic lighting to empower tourist attractions.

The “Melody of the Sea” interactive piano walkway uses pressure sensor technology to trigger a fusion of musical scales and lighting. Coupled with Lingnan-style dynamic rhythms, it creates an immersive oceanic audiovisual experience

The “Within Reach” futuristic bionic interactive installation, built on a multimodal interaction system, features scenario-based voice recognition and emotional feedback to trigger dynamic lighting effects. It also synchronizes bubble and mist sprays, crafting an immersive fusion of virtual and real elements that makes visitors feel like they are deep under the sea.

“Eco Star” features Night Rainbow’s proprietary bionic hexagonal honeycomb structure. With its modular quick-assembly design, the structure allows for multi-dimensional reshaping. When visitors insert discarded plastic bottles, the photoelectric sensor system activates a lighting response, promoting a participatory environmental awareness model.

Over 4 meters tall, the “Starlight Jellyfish” is a landmark installation of the Guangzhou Oceanarium. It features a bionic, colored dragon-skeleton structure with UV multi-media coating and a high-recognition color and dynamic lighting system, creating an immersive deep-sea light language experience.
By incorporating whale and child imagery, we crafted a marine-animal-friendly and child-welcoming atmosphere. Surrounded by glowing light bands and droplet-shaped lighting, the space creates a dreamy ocean ambiance that invites families to linger.

Three Insights for Traditional Scenic Area Upgrades

Technological Iteration Path: Integrating sensors with lighting control systems allows devices to operate autonomously and respond interactively, improving operational efficiency in nighttime cultural tourism。

Revenue Model Innovation: The “day + night” tourism model enables scenic areas to generate nighttime ticket sales, boost derivative product sales, and stimulate surrounding service economies.
